Richard Drax - Conservative Prospective Parlimentary Candidate
South Dorset

Richard Drax has been named as the man who will face Jim Knight in the next general election on behalf of The Conservative party.

The 48 year old former BBC South reporter, who spent 9 years in the army, won a significant victory in a members ballot held on the 27 July last week. He was one of 31 applicants from across the country who applied to fight the seat.

His face is well known around the county having reported for BBC South today for the past 6 years.

Richard said; "I am deeply honoured to have been selected. The Conservatives are now back on the map in South Dorset. There are many issues to tackle in this beautiful part of the county, which has been my home all my life. I am looking forward to meeting the constituents in the weeks and months ahead."
